Performance

Performance is all about results - results produced through human activity that meet or exceed requirements/objectives and create value. When great results are achieved, recognition and rewards should follow. When desired performance is not achieved, it's time to ask questions and look for causes, and most important, solutions. You can start with these ten questions:

1. Are the right people in the right job?

2. Are expectations clear and well-defined?

3. Are performers properly trained to do their jobs?

4. Do they know how their tasks fit into the big picture?

5. Do they have the support and tools they need?

6. Has the business environment changed?

7. Are there barriers to performance?

8. Do management practices reflect your vision, values and mission?

9. Do performers receive frequent feedback?

10. Are there consequences for performance?

If you can't answer these questions, or don't like the answers, you probably need our help. When you upgrade a machine, you will get a finite improvement in output. When you upgrade people, and have sound processes in place, there are no upper limits to their performance. Let's talk about how we can help you determine your requirements and identify opportunities to improve performance.
