Don Gibson

Don has served ATA clients since 1987 and became a principal in our firm in 1995. Don has over 25 years' successful experience in human performance improvement and training as a course developer, instructor and organizational process facilitator, focusing on teamwork and communication. He is also the founder of LinkPoint Planning and creator of the Discovery Planning© process.  Don effectively leads diverse groups to analyze and solve problems, generate ideas, map processes and formulate goals. His leadership skills and objectivity enables teams to think and learn visually and produce exponential results in far less time than is possible in traditional meetings.

His efforts have enabled clients to analyze and develop solutions for job training needs and improved workflow and supply chain processes. He has helped clients design and implement strategies for faster collection of accounts receivable, shorter sales cycles and more responsive marketing programs.

A graduate of Kent State University, Don studied communications and organization/team development at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Don is certified by the McNellis Company to lead groups using Compression Planning© and has completed Train-the-Trainer by Educational Systems for the Future and completed courses at the Indiana University AV Institute. Don has served as President of the Northeast Ohio Chapters of the International Society for Performance Improvement and the American Society for Training and Development.  As a keynote and concurrent speaker at national and regional conferences, Don has earned great praise for his keen insights on human performance improvement and his ebullient delivery.
